Staff at TT Education are very excited to be adding a new team member to the family!
With over two decades of experience in the education sector, Kerry Hill will be a wonderful addition to the strong team of School Improvement Partners. Kerry will join them in working with educationalists across the country - from TAs to executive leaders in large Multi-Academy Trusts - to improve children’s life chances by creating sustainable improvement in schools through engaged learning and inspirational leadership.
Kerry’s experience is far-ranging, meaning she will be ideally placed to support schools in a wide range of contexts. In her very first headship, she led her school to 7th place in national primary school rankings for its attainment standards and, more recently, she led a school in a very disadvantaged area to its first ever ‘Good’ Ofsted rating in the school’s history. She did this by improving the school’s end of KS2 achievement to top 1% value added progress rates and significantly improving attainment. Her achievements - and those of the children in her care - were recognised by the school becoming the first in the country to receive ‘gold status’ in the Mental Health in Schools Award, ‘gold status’ in the SMSC National Award and becoming a Beacon School of Jigsaw PSHE. These, among other achievements, are what led her to be a finalist in the 2019 TES Headteacher of the Year award.
Crucially, Kerry is a champion of mental health, wellbeing and character development. This is her major priority in schools and it is her passion in her own professional development. It has played a huge part in her work in her own schools, as head, and has been - and will continue to be - vital in her work with other schools in the UK. Kerry has a very holistic view of education - which fits perfectly with the philosophy embraced by TT Education - and this excellence of approach was recognised twice with the prestigious Princess Royal Training Award. Kerry is the only primary school headteacher ever to have achieved this recognition.
As a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching and a national SMSC Award verifier, Kerry really does have an incredibly impressive set of strings to her bow. This makes her a natural fit for the leading school improvement company in the country, winners of School Improvement Provider of the Year 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021, among others. We are really excited to see where 2022 takes the team, of which Kerry will be a valued and valuable member.
