About this INSET

Maths is an abstract concept, but by using early years curriculum approaches (such as enabling environments and learning through play) children can be supported to make sense of mathematical concepts in fun and engaging ways. This will enable them to develop their mathematical understanding.

This course will:

  • Explore the links between maths and other areas of the early years curriculum
  • Develop your knowledge of the Path to Success in supporting mathematical development
  • Support you in using stories and real-life contexts as part of your maths provision
