About this course

A ‘COVID surge’ in ITT applications has helped the government reach its teacher-recruitment target for the first time in almost a decade; but a third of teachers are leaving the profession within five years. What can we do to improve morale in our schools? This course looks at both “self-help” strategies for teachers and leaders, and also collaborative/altruistic approaches for leaders at all levels.

  • Explore practical and effective ideas to raise morale, both for ourselves and for each other
  • Find out what Ofsted has to say about staff wellbeing
  • Consider alternative and lower-stress approaches to scrutiny and performance management
  • Investigate the links between staff wellbeing and pupil outcomes

Audience:

This course is appropriate for primary and secondary schools.

  • Leadership, especially senior leaders (HT, DH, AHT)
  • Class teachers and TAs
  • EYFS, KS1, KS2
