About this course

What can we do with the youngest children to teach about consent, and protect them against sexist objectification and discrimination in the future? How do we empower our girls to stay safe and educate our boys to act more appropriately, especially when the mention of “sex” is so controversial in the primary years?

By attending this course you will:

  • Develop a primary-friendly progression for the teaching of consent
  • Unpick discrimination and bias in everyday policies and structures
  • Consider how to help your children understand what’s appropriate and ‘normal’
  • Explore ways to teach children to spot bias and objectification in words and images

  • Head teachers and senior leaders
  • Leaders of PSHE, RSHE, SMSC, wellbeing or mental health
  • English / Literacy coordinators
