About this course

Updated as a response to Ofsted's 2021 subject inspections, research reviews, blogs, update webinars, and our own experiences from two years of the new framework.

Mastery Across the Curriculum unpicks the complexities of mastery as a concept. Discover a wide range of practical activities and strategies to encourage children to think for themselves.

  • Gain a clear idea of the pedagogy of thinking in greater depth and how this reflects on our classroom practice
  • Discover ways to secure learning at greater depth for pupils across the school
  • Develop innovative teaching models to support mastery thinking
  • Acquire a greater understanding of how to apply mastery learning across the curriculum

Literacy and numeracy activities are linked to teaching and learning strategies for the wider curriculum. You will leave at the end of the day with a deeper understanding of mastery, along with a renewed vigour for supporting children on their educational journey.
