About this INSET

Current education research shows that teachers’ mental health and wellbeing is deteriorating - for instance as reported in the 2021 Teacher Wellbeing Index. This INSET will help you consider what the term ‘psychological safety’ means, and how it can be applied to the school workplace culture. 

This INSET will:

  • Support understanding of the concept of ‘psychological safety’ within education
  • Use research and evidence-based practice to explore the links between psychological safety, staff wellbeing and performance
  • Give you practical ideas and strategies to develop psychological safety in your workplace culture.
