Teaching Consent

Children are increasingly exposed to situations when they need to independently manage their own consent - so how well have we prepared them for this?

  • Simple and active approaches
  • Support children and parents
  • Increase individual ownership of consent

About this INSET

This innovative approach to teaching consent addresses how we, as adults, can support our pupils in developing a mindset that empowers them to negotiate consent - both online and in ‘IRL’ situations (In Real Life).  Through fun activities, sharing vocabulary & experience and through playing with potential situations, this training session will prepare teachers to help children to negotiate their world now, and support them in negotiating their word in the future.

  • Simple, active approaches
  • Proven strategies and activities to increase individual ownership of consent
  • Developing leaders and teachers alike in supporting children and parents
