‘Protected characteristics’ refers to nine areas where we must avoid discrimination; none of us does so explicitly, of course, but truly outstanding schools are going further - identifying and remove hidden and structural discriminations that may be hurting their children. (An example might be toilet provision for non-binary children.)

This 1 hour online session looks at:

• investigates ‘accidental discrimination’
• provides you with the ‘politically correct’ vocabulary
• gives advice on how to improve your pastoral care – so that everyone’s school experience is positive.
