Course overview:

2019 marked a big shift in Ofsted focus, but it isn’t a move ‘away from’ the core subjects. There is certainly a stronger emphasis on foundation subjects, but it’s important that high standards are maintained in the Core as well. Science has an uneasy position in all of this: it lacks the status of English and maths, and it may now be left behind in the drive to improve foundation subjects.

This three-part on-demand series guides science leaders through the new Framework, and provides them with dozens of practical ideas. 

Part 1 sets out the expectations, inspection guidance, and overarching views of excellent curriculum design. It will cover:

  • OFSTED’s view of curriculum quality;
